This certificate program focuses on the life safety aspect of the workplace. Emergencies and injury causing incidents can happen in every workplace at any time and workers need to be prepared to respond appropriately. This program will provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to be effective in planning for and responding to such an event.
The Workplace Safety Certificate program is designed to provide the front line worker with the skills required to recognize potential hazards, identify the appropriate control for the hazard, and apply their skill and knowledge in working safely. Participants will be given the opportunity to apply their learning in hands-on job related scenarios.
Participants will gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Supervisor in relation to Occupational Health and Safety at the workplace. The material is delivered with the supervisor as the intended audience and discussions addressing supervisor issues.
The Manager OH&S Certificate program focuses on the responsibilities and accountabilities of managers in regards to occupational health and safety. The material is delivered with the manager as the intended audience and discussions addressing managerial issues.
This program can be delivered over two consecutive days, two separate days recommended within a two week period, or as a weekend retreat format.
