    Respiratory Mask Fit Testing

    Employees required to wear a tight fitting respirator in order to perform their duties should be fit tested to ensure proper sealing and fitting. Unwanted or unsuspected exposure to a contaminant can endanger the health and safety of the worker. During fit testing workers will be instructed on: proper donning and doffing of the respirator; how to perform a seal check; use and care of the respirator; types of respirators; and more.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    Course participants will learn about the various types of PPE most commonly used in workplaces. Included in the course is instruction on safe use of PPE; maintaining PPE; proper selection of PPE; the importance of the use of PPE; and establishing a PPE program. Specialty PPE such as fall protection, fire fighters, etc. is not covered in this course.

    Course duration: 1/2 day or 1 day (depends on type of workplace)
